Level:

Fifteen years ago my grandma taught me my first sewing skills. I still wear the apron we made back then! I never took any sewing classes, but I learned by experimenting, making mistakes and watching You Tube videos. Resulting in a master piece: my wedding dress, that I made last year.

How did you add your personal style to the dress?

I love simple and beautiful lines which I found in the Brooke Dress. I simplified the dress even more by eliminating the tie straps and the buttonholes. I purposely chose for a non printed fabric, to bring all the attention to the beautiful fit. The back is beautifully shaped and deserves all the attention.

What do you think of the result?

I first made a testmodel from pink chambray with white polkadots and the fit was perfect right away. Often I need to make quit some fit adjustments, so this was new to me. Bonuspoints for Brooke! The red version I made for a wedding party and I got lots of compliments. So a good choice!
